The sight and sound of a thunderstorm gives me an adrenaline rush and natural high like nothing else in the world. With my new camera I've recorded a few of the better thunderstorms I've personally witnessed this year.

Turn the volume up so you can hear the continuous rumbling distant thunder in this one... Believe me, it's not jets flying over, it's all thunder. I've never heard anything quite like it. There are a few good lightning bolts as the storm gets closer.

A different day, close lighting...

Another storm, frequent thunder + small hail...

Storms on a road trip with my father...

.... And Dinosaurs in general.

As for the feedback, I'm not really interested in the weather, but I always find it nice to see other people with a strong interest in something. I just find it heartwarming for some reason. And I can think of a lot worse hobbies than to go out and enjoy the outdoors. I do like thunderstorms though, they are very exciting.

One of my obsessions is with the history of women's fashion. This is a video montage covering the evolution of women's fashion from 1795 to 1948. It's kind of long, but I personally didn't think it was long enough. :)

@ 7:03 Yikes!! ! That made me jump!

I'm such an adrenaline junkie. Excitement is the only thing that wards off my depression. I'd definitely go chase storms on the plains if I had the time and money.

Nice. :)
I like looking at how fashion changes too, I noticed that the further you go back the longer a certain fashion seems to last, but maybe in that 100 year period that the Tudor fashions were fashionable there would have been plenty of different mini trends. I just don't think they were that well recorded.

My obsession is anime. I've been obsessed with anime in general ever since I was 8 years old, though the specific series I focus on change every couple of years. Right now my favorite series are Steins;Gate and Tiger & Bunny:

There actually were various mini trends during the 16th century, as well as every other century prior to the 20th century. If you search 16th century fashion on Wikipedia, you'll read about various fashion trends that came and went, such as the French hood and the Spanish farthingale, just to name a few. The reason fashion seemed to remain relatively stagnant save for a few subtle changes was probably due to the fact that cataloguing did not become common until the end of the 19th century. Actually, though, nothing truly revolutionary occured in women's fashion until probably the 1920s, when the skirt length shortened to such a dramatic degree as to elicit shock from older, more traditional women.

However, I do believe that it is pretty much true that fashion never really changed much throughout an entire century before the 20th century. During the 20th century, fashion changed on a decade-by-decade basis; fashion during the centuries prior, however, seemed to only change on a century-by-century basis.
