Would you save a stranger?

I am currently watching a doco from 2009. It is about what you would do if you saw a stranger in trouble. Would you save the stranger.

what would you do?

Depends. Do I have my children with me?

answer if you did and again if you didn't.

With children - I would call the police and stay back to protect my children.

Without children - I'd be in it and trying to help.

I'd do my best to help, I would not just do nothing.

I would also do my best to help if I didn't have a responsibility to care for anyone else.

depends. if it was a child or woman who was getting hurt by someone else, I'd definitely step in. if it was a man getting mauled by other men, I'm not so sure - I'd be scared that it could be a gang-related situation and either way, what can a pint-sized girl do but call the police? so I'd probably just do that and maybe try to take some pics of the attackers from a safe distance.

I was once in a situation where an old woman got a heart attack on a bus stop and me and one other stranger were the only people who didn't completely ignore her but tried to help there was a ton of people around and they just stood around ignoring the situation completely.

I can think of at least a dozen situations when I really wished I was a guy so I could step into the fight and help the person being attacked, because no other people cared. it's terribly disturbing to see grown men not react when an innocent person is getting hurt. then again, I received help from complete strangers many, many times myself, so I guess there are some good people around.

I'd help that person out, if heights weren't involved. I have an intense fear of heights.

I'd like to think that I would, but I feel like I'd probably freeze up, start stimming, and be totally useless. Maybe I'd surprise myself if I were ever in that sort of situation though.

Have in the past, can't think of any reason why my morals would have changed that way over the years. So most definitely yes.

Depends on the context.

I have helped strangers before, mostly in a nondramatic way. There are times you have to use your brain about what you do. I think when I was younger I would simply rush in there and try to save the day no matter what it was, but that isn't always the way to go. For example, I was told about a tanker carrying pressurized oxygen that was compromised and it being heavier than atmospheric conditions it hugged the ground and pretty much killed those working around it plus those who rushed in to help. Instead I think it better to keep your wits and look for the best way you can help someone.
