How do they know he fell 100ft?

Just saying. I really don't think he would have lived through that if it was 100ft, but I guess it's possible, depending on the terrain and the type of fall.

100 feet, wow, that's scary. The farthest I've ever fallen is 20-something feet, and I thought that was near-death. 8O

You'd be lucky to survive a straight 100ft drop (though people sometimes do) but 100ft down even a steep slope is more survivable.

He'll be fine. I just have a good feeling about it. He was found early enough and got proper medical care. Wasn't his time.
