''I don't get it'' a lot? like when someone gets upset for what appears to be no reason, or when someone tells a joke, and so on?

I find myself not getting jokes about half the time. and I certainly find myself going WTF at some people's reactions to things.

Yes, people are confusing most of the time. Usually I just laugh, and then ask someone to the side.

Yes. My friends usually just say "don't worry about it."

Jokes I'm good with. But people do overreact to stuff all the time, just making everything worse for themselves. Road rage, etc. is silly. I feel blessed with patience compared to other people.

Totally... I'm completely taken aback and baffled when people get all emotional (angry, hurt, offended) by things that are so obviously not a direct insult to them. ~shaking head~ Then, I never know how to react appropriately around these worked-up people. ~shrug~

I don't laugh at most jokes people tell because I don't find them funny. My sense of humor is the kind where I would be escorted out if I told any jokes I find funny at work.

I get that other people find it funny or meaningful or important, I just don't get why. I'd be totally OK with that if not for the disappointment that there's never anyone to not get it the same way I don't get it.

I don't find most people's jokes all that funny... I think I get them but I just don't care for them. Most people around my age have a very 'adult' sense of humor and I almost never find humor in it... I have a much more childish sense of humor I guess. My mom finds me funny at least... though half the time she finds me funny I wasn't trying to be funny.

If someone tells a joke that's not funny, I simply don't laugh (unless they're holding a gun, always do what the guy with the gun wants...).
If someone gets upset I might ask them "why are you upset?" If they can explain why, fair enough, if not, I just tell them "So you're upset for no good reason? Isn't that pointless?"

I understand the emotions of other people, but I don't easily get jokes.

I tend to not get jokes more when I'm not expecting em; like if I'm having a conversation with someone & they suddenly make a joke. However I tend to get jokes when I'm watching stand-up or comedy TV shows(check my custom rank) maybe the format the jokes are in has something to do with it

I'd like to think it's because Stand-Up comics tell jokes professionally. Comedy is their craft and the good ones actually put real effort, time, research, and recital into it.

Any non-Comedian average person who put a little thought into their joke before opening their mouth might have better results as well.

Sometimes. Usually, though, I prefer to pick apart the person/situation/joke and try and figure it out myself.
