1 packet Splenda in coffee (what I call coffee, that is 1/2 teaspoon instant coffee in 1 cup of milk) or black tea. I usually do not add sugar to herb teas like linden, chamomile, mint, etc.

Interesting that you mention some people not drinking hot drinks, OP- I don't care for them,
but when it comes to tea/iced coffee, I really have to have so much sugar in it to taste it that it's quite unhealthy- I have hypo-sensitivity to taste.

I drink tea black--no milk or sugar. When I used to drink more milk, I would put milk in it, but never sugar. Now I am accustomed to drinking it just black.

Coffee is another story! I drink coffee occasionally, but I mustn't like the taste with it. I do prefer cream in it, even though I am trying to stay away from dairy. And I put A LOT of sugar in it. If I go to Tim Horton's which is very popular here in Canada, I usually order a triple-triple (so three sugars). That makes the coffee very sweet. If I order coffee at a more traditional coffee shop and I put three sugars in it, it is still way too strong. That either means their coffee is much stronger than Timmies or that Timmies idea of "three sugars" is quite generous. Last year I was putting 10 sugars in a large coffee from Second Cup which is in my school library. I was down to 4 or 5 by the end of the school year, and have since been chased out of that location by the fruit flies. I don't know how many I would use now if I went back there.

About 20 years ago, I used to take one sugar in my tea or coffee. Over a period of about a week, I gradually cut it down to zero. I then tried a cup with sugar, to see what it tasted like and all I could taste was the sugar. I don't think it's possible to go back to taking sugar, after you've become acclimatised to none. My friend takes 6 sugars, but she was born without a sense of smell and says she can't taste anything, otherwise.

4 sugars, 3 creamers. When I have lattes, I get approximately 10 flavor shots. I like coffee, but it needs to be VERY sweet and creamy before I enjoy it.

i don't take any sugar or sweetener in my hot beverages.

i am a supertaster but... with age and years of smoking in the past i killed enough tastebuds so that i can finally eat/drink *some* bitter things, and i am loving it!! !! black coffee, bitter beer, strong tea nommmmm. still can't handle most sour stuff though.

My partner doesn't drink them because he thinks that in order for drink to be refreshing, they should be cold. He also never liked the taste of coffee/tea. His dad makes fun of him for this because it's taken for granted that all adults in this country drink hot coffee/tea.
