I just ignore it and pretend nothing happened. But the last time I did that, I had a broken ankle that didn't get attention until two days later.

I generally ignore it. If it requires some sort of attention... I ignore it until I can't anymore.

That's me, but it's never anything serious like that.

I just say ow naturally. I also ignore it too. I also look at it to see if it's okay or not. I remember the time I broke my arm but the pain got worse when I ignored it so my mother told me to go to the hospital to get it looked at. I cried because I was scared and didn't know what to expect and the wait was long and I didn't know how to communicate or handle the situation so the nurses had to talk on the phone to my mother, not because the pain was bad.

I try to ignore it and not say anything about it, because I don't want to make a big deal out of something like that if it goes away on its own. But while it may keep me from looking like a hypochondriac, it does have its disadvantages. One time I ignored pain in my pelvis and a burning sensation when I urinated, and when I finally went to the doctor, it turns out that I had a bladder infection that had gone on so long that it was turning into a kidney infection.

Other than bladder infections, I have a high pain tolerance. The worse the injury, the more I can ignore it. When I was younger, I had injured my ankle badly enough that my foot leaned sideways. I was up & walking around on it the next day. It should have been put in a cast though as it never quite healed right.

I do a *lot* of loud swearing and waving of limbs/whole body.

cannot even begin to imagine having to just ignore pain. way too sensitive for that. when I'm in pain, everyone within a 10 km radius knows about it.

I'm another ignore-it-and-keep-my-fingers-crossed type. The idea of having something officially wrong that gets a lot of other people involved in my life is scarier than the prospect of a little discomfort. Only when the pain is extreme do I give in and see the doctor, dentist, etc.

I have a medium tolerance for pain, but when I feel it, I let people know.

If it's not a type that immediately has a reflexive response to it, such as when burned, then I try to figure out the cause of pain and eliminate it if possible.

Depending on the level of severity, I either ignore it, or I become temporarily paralyzed.

I usually laugh at myself when I get hurt and people get confused. I ignore pain and just hope it goes away after popping a few pain killers.

I laugh also. Especially if I'm surprised by the level of pain. Otherwise, I ignore it :i

I curse and get on with my life.
