...is the land of stately palaces, tea and cucumber sandwiches, royalty, bowler hats, Union Jacks and Routemasters:

A more realistic look at the state of the UK today may be found here (http://www.flickriver.com/groups/32972300@N00/pool/).

That is all.

Aww, it's not all like that, but yes, quite a bit of it is!
Made me laugh anyway :)

As much as I like it, I know that Britain isn't perfect - no country is. It's no different than people from other countries who think America is like the movies, where everyone is filthy rich and looks like a porn star.

Those pictures of Britain actually remind me of where I live, what with all the run-down old buildings. I laughed at the women's fiction picture. :)

its not a problem with england, its a problem with any city area. It happens all over the world. I actually found london rather clean for having no trashcans anywhere in plain sight.

I'm really glad that Americans aren't like that. Anyway, I thought the US was full of fat people who eat ten Maccy D's a day? ;)

A lot of these places aren't cities though but run-down towns. There are a lot of run-down towns these days because there's no money anywhere. Legend has it that it used to grow on trees.

I'm pretty sure that it would only take me an hour to take ten pictures of fat people and ten McD's bags on the ground.

Are you a real American MXH? And don't you have any better pig-out joints where you hail from?

lol yes i am a real american (though not fat). And its the nly place in this country that i know what the menu is like and is nearby and cheap. The other places involve me figuring things out and arent take out. I dont feel like sitting in a restaurant by myself.
