Why do people see things about ourselves that we don't see. this can relate too appearence and the way we act.

I am just interested by this... what stops us from seeing things within ourselves that other people can see and yet we are so blind too?

I just tecently had this happen and when I asked the other person-who is an aspie also-told me one totally strange reason and on behavioral reason. I found nothing wrong with that person by the way-I don't focus and list others negative-I accept the whole person.

It's a good question. Might it be because some are just radically not interested in how they look, what they wear because so much time is spent on special interest subjects etc and also some spend a lot of time in their heads, which leaves less time for self observation or comparison? These are just off the cuff speculations and no criticism is implied. I also think some people with AS have very good awareness of how they are and what they do.
