I have signed up to be an organ donor.
Which means that any useable organ will be donated.
If my body can't be used for research or transplant then I think I would like to be cremated and have my ashes scattered in the Carlton Gardens.

A guy at work has instructed his children that when he dies, he wants his body cremated and the ashes scattered at the Melbourne Cricket Ground "so that when Melbourne finally wins a premiership I will be there".
A hardcore Demons(AFL) supporter.

You are not meant to scatter ashes of loved ones on the MCG but people have been known to do it sneakily I have heard.

What about U?

have the organ donor cards, otherwise, I'm an atheist and I don't much care.

short of believing that the physical body is resurrected at judgement day, i can't understand why anyone does.

Its not a nice thought. :(

Funeral insurance (a plan where u pay something like $3 a week and when u die the company pays for the expenses) is advertised a lot on certain channels over here.

It is a good idea to have a set of instructions for your family that they will respect.
When it comes to organ donation over here, you can sign up but when you die your family has to give consent in order for your organs to be donated.

I spent a lot of time tracing my family history and without gravestones, some important parts of our genealogy would still be a mystery.

Over 5 generations, my father is the only one on paternal side of my family who died in the continent that he was born in.

My children and I are also living in a different continent to where we were born :!:

Blah why didn't I see this topic before I saw your other one?

Burn me as a race fuel or in some way reduce my body to nothing please.

I heard about one option on an NPR discussion. You can be cremated and then have your ashes mixed with concrete and then put into the ocean to be a base for coral. I like that idea.

Burned. If I was put into a coffin, I'd want it pumped full of sulfuric acid, in case I woke up. :coffee:

I want to be entombed in an ornate mausoleum, and every three years I'd like to have myself disinterred so that they may check on my "re gifting" process back to the earth.

i would like them to be fixed and reassembled into a new me.
if that can not be done, then i could not care less because my remains are no longer part of me after i die and they can be cast to the winds of neptune for all i care.
