Oh My...

I was driving around the block on my way to go for a late night skate... and i saw about 4 or 5 police cars on one of the ajasent streets to mine... thought maybe it was a drug bust or something... they are not uncommon really but it seemed a bit overkill... this was 2 nights ago and just then on the news "50 year old woman murdered in malua bay... suspect has been charged etc etc"

Kinda makes you worry when Malua bay is typically really quiet and peacfull... Image what other kind of things are happening in our neighbourhoods that we dont know about... :?

Yeah, I know what you mean. One scary thing I had to go through was a lockdown at my school a few years ago, because a man who was accused of murder ran through our school property with a loaded gun and two grenades. 8O

Probably a "crime of passion" - they can happen anywhere. A week or so ago we had a good old-fashioned gun massacre here in Orange County - 8 people (including the gunman's ex-wife) were killed. Also, I live less than 1/2 mile away from the street where that WP member killed two people and them himself a few years ago...

An older lady was raped in her flat on my road a month or so ago. Someone was stabbed on my mums road a few days ago.

There is a few murders here every year and a man with a gun was shot dead quite recently. I don't think anyone on my road has been murdered yet but I would not be too surprised. I live in quite a 'nice' area but even living in a small city means there are sure to be lots of dangerous people not too far away.

What I find amusing is the news in my area will go from a dispute over a rooster in city limits, to someone dismembering another.
