I could not think of a better title, but yeah, we did :)

But the pic was slightly blurry, mum took it - pff, what an amateur!

So, who looks the weirdest then? Me? Ah, how nice of you!

For some reason I just look pissed off. I assure you all I certainly wasn't. :D

It was a great day and I'd love to all meet up again soon!

By the way Ten, you missed an hour of me staring at the Plesiosaur and boring everyone with lectures. :P

It was great though, the first of it's kind to ever be discovered (genus and species). It was also one of the most complete and best preserved plesiosaur skeletons ever found too! They managed to get a cast of the braincase too by scanning it. I was fascinated.I love Percy!

They didn't have any "Percy" merchandise in the shop (I asked if they did, they said it was a good idea but they didn't have any), but I managed to get a plesiosaur postcard with a photo of a lifesize model that was displayed above Percy's skeleton.

By the way, you asked why the Tyrannosaurus was named "Stan". It was named after the discoverer of the skeleton, and it's the second most complete Tyrannosaurus ever found!

Sorry I missed that, I'm sure your lecture would have been simply fascinating ;)
I forgot to say to people who don't have a clue what's going on - I had to leave early

I had a talk with some museum curators and palaeontology students that were volunteering there too, I was kept well occupied. Had a great discussion.

I'm glad you had a good time. I couldn't have come anyway but it would have been nice to have been made aware of. I feel like the fat kid who is always picked last at football now. ;)

Sounds great. Perhaps when it's a bit warmer?

Cheers,

Is it weird that I just read all your posts on this thread with a British accent?

We don't have British accents up here. We have Northern ones. ;)
