I love rice, I eat it almost every day.

I picked jasmine, but I am tied between jasmine and basmati.

I live in Minnesota.....so we have wildrice for very reasonable prices and it is income for our native american population....I love the nutty flavor......I really dont care for "white rice"...I have heard that Jasmine is good(sweet?)but havent tried it yet.If I try to get off grains(which I unfortunately love...12 grain bread, yummy)I may have to try more rice options....

My sister showed our mom how to cook jasmine rice in a microwave that turns out good.
Most my younger life when we had rice it was instant. I have cooked wild rice many times. It requires like twice the cooking time as real rice(wild rice is not in the rice family
I think) so thats a bit of a hassle. I like things that can cook in 30 minutes or less.

It depends on the food it's eaten together with. Today I ate chicken filé with chili sauce and to that jasmin rice.
