It has just occurred to me that when I speak of my wife, and that I'm happily married and so forth, that I may thereby cause jealousy since it is quite difficult for most people with Asperger's to even find somebody to date. If so, I'm sorry, I don't mean to cause such feelings in others. In part though, I'm wondering if this is part of why some people here hate me. Certainly just being a Christian was enough cause of hatred against me here prior to my marriage, but it seems as though that hatred against me, in some fellow Aspies (and yes, I know, not all fellow Aspies), has intensified since my wife and I had gotten married. Is it possible that jealousy is part of the cause of that hatred against me? Some friends here have said that it's because I "wear my heart on my sleeve" that lesser minds find me an easy target for their childish games of ridicule, but is it something more than that? I've always been honest and open "with my heart on my sleeve" so to speak, even prior to when I got married in 2010 and I've been here since 2007, and the attacks against me have only been since afterward. If it were just due to my manner of communication, such should have also been the case previously, hence my notion that I now have developed and shared here.

Maybe I'm blind but I've never seen people show hatred towards you or anyone else who is in a relationship.

I don't really know much about the attacks that have occurred against you, but were there any particular threads you were involved in that may have caused them? There are a fair share of people here who are in relationships and do speak of them, I don't think you have cause for concern

Well I suppose by a lot of standards I am fairly new here but I for one certainly don't hate you. I am sorry that you feel anybody does here on WP as it should be an inclusive forum however I am fully aware that it is not always. Is there a particular reason you feel like this?

February of this year was when the attacks started. Although that event is past, I was not the instigator but instead one member who thought it was funny to "rile the parakeet" as they had later stated. As for my asking on another forum if one member that was mocking me was from their forum I was not trying to "troll them" as some of their members have claimed, but I was seriously asking and they decided to act like jerks while I was there. As far as I'm concerned though, they don't even need provocation so long as they have a target of what they perceive to be a stereotypical profile of some "evil right-winger" or whatever, but if so then they should have done this all the way back when I started here rather than wait. But perhaps it is just happenstance rather than actually related.

I don't hate you nor does your personal life (i.e your relationship with your wife) invoke any feelings of jealousy in me...(having said that I am asexual so I am not interested in finding a partner.) I think it odd that it would in others also after all its your life.

Well, there are those who are envious of others who have more wealth, or more friends, or more this or that or whatever, so although you personally aren't afflicted with covetousness or otherwise unhappy I still consider it possible that there would be some who would see reasons to hate others in anything regarding them. My marriage to my lovely wife just being something that could be a possible reason for hate from others. IDK, just a possibility, but perhaps I'm wrong. It may not have even been a factor.

I actually remember reading that back in February. Whoever said that doesn't have a life. I think that you're a great person.

Despite you beating my I.D at a certain point, my I.D has recovered since and sure appreciates it.

If those people are jealous of you due to your successes, that's their hangup, not yours. I enjoy seeing you around on WP.
