Happy Thanksgiving, folks.
Just cooking up two trays of my Rosemary Roasted Red Potatoes and a huge batch of my Hazardous Mashed Potatoes (hazardous to ones' waistline) and we're heading over to a friend-of-the-family's place here in a bit and maybe watch some hockey whilst we're stuffing ourselves silly.
However you're celebrating (or not), have a good one.

US Thanksgiving Day is based on our gratitude to the native americans who allowed us to share their land and its bounty and then proceed with our plan of genocide.....what is yours based on?

Pretty much the same thing, Krex.
It's not such a big deal in Quebec, oddly enough.

I give thanks that I'll be living on my own, very soon. I also give thanks that I've found my Authentic Self, over the last ten months. I give thanks for all that my parents have done for me, over the years. I also give thanks that I can drop into their home, to visit my little Chico whenever I want. I give thanks that I have an Accent instead of a Slur or having been born Mute. I also give thanks that I have a unique personality and unusual interests and obsessions. I give thanks that I'm out of the School System. I also give thanks that I don't have Children whom I have to force through the School System though I think most Kids are wonderful. I give thanks that I live in Canada, instead of the Middle East. I give thanks that I grew up with my biological family, instead of being put thorugh Foster Care. I give thanks that I'm on the Autistic Spectrum, instead of dealing with Diabetes of any of the two types (sorry Diabetics). I'm thankful that my family celebrates the Christian holiday of Christmas, even though I'm the family member who's the closest to being a Christian, and everybody else takes on a more cruder role. I'm thankful to be alive, especially when I watch stories on the news about Youths dieing in some way, or another.
