How to make soda from simple household ingredients
It's really simple. Find some juice you like. Now get lemon juice or if you just randomly have citric acid around, get that. Add a decent amount of lemon juice to the juice. Then add baking soda, stir it a few times, and wait. Bubbles will come up, and your drink will carbonated. The only slight downside is you introduce a bit of sodium to your drink, but it's no different from drinking Gatorade in it's flavor. But other than that, you can make soda any time you feel like it.
I remembered this cuz as a kid, I got a little "homemade soda" science kit from my uncle, and it was citric acid, and baking soda, along with some soda syrups. So today, my sister complained she didn't have soda to drink, so I decided to screw around and see if what I remembered from my kit I got as a kid would still work. And it did.
Note, this doesn't work with milk, as milk will curdle, so if you wanted carbonated milk, you're gonna have to buy food grade co2 and all that stuff to carbonate it, sorry.
