Am I the only one who dislikes ''You've Been Framed''?

For Americans et cetera You've Been Framed is like Funniest Home Videos. But I cannot stand this. I used to love it when I was little, but now it just gets on my nerves. It's gotten so predictable, just fat people falling off a swing or some disgusting kid spitting out it's food or people in big dresses falling over. I prefer to laugh at more unpredictable things, stuff what you didn't know was coming. But my family laughs at every clip, and I'm sure it sounds false and they're just reacting to look sociable. That's what makes me annoyed with it more.

Am I the only one, or are there others here who can't stand such predictable shows?

No; in fact sometimes I think it's pretty sadistic.

I think the animals ones can be quite funny, but I hate some of them where people look like they really hurt themselves; it just makes me cringe.

I don't find shows like that funny.

I actually kind of like shows like that. I like the animal clips the most, and the baby clips the least. The clips of people falling over are somewhere in between - I'll laugh if they're not in any danger, but I'll cringe if they look like they could've been seriously hurt. I'll only watch shows like that with my family though, because I like to laugh along with them.

I find them surreal. They show something unfunny happening and then you hear lots of canned laughter.

I think funniest home videos is disgusting and will no longer watch it ever since they showed a clip where a kid's pet mouse was on top of the cage in the yard and a large bird swooped down and carried it away. It's sick that they showed that and the person that sent it in was sick too.

At least on the funniest animal show I think they have a disclaimer saying no animals were harmed which the other show clearly can't have since they were.

I do like the animal ones, I must admit.

I like the videos with animals doing funny things.
But for the most part I find all the others with people getting hurt to be very distasteful.
I don't understand how people derive humor from someone elses misfortune. We live in a sick society.

I can appreciate silly humour but those clips are just too predictable.

You must think the same about unfunny comedies in general then?



To me, it's like a very mild version of the Traces of Death series in the way people watch them and laugh at them. Sure, people aren't subjected to lasting harm on the clips of You've Been Framed but it still leaves a nasty taste in the mouth.

YBF moreso than others. Not Going Out comes close, though.

I either dislike or hate all the ones with humans - especially the ones with babies or young children. The other ones mostly just piss me off, as they show as evidence for the stupidity of humanity, in so many ways... especially the part where you're supposed to find it funny when people hurt themselves. It utterly disgusts me and even makes me cringe. I have never liked ones with humans, even when I was little.

I like many of those with animals, though... as long as no annoying child appears, anywhere, in the video. I don't like any with monkeys, though - they remind me of humanity. Ones with dogs, cats or ferrets are usually the funniest... not that they make me laugh, very often, but they can make me smile, at least. I hate that they have to do voiceovers, though, and have people laughing in the background. -_-;

What I don't like is that families are willing to send in video recordings that embarass/make fun of relatives just so they can have a chance to win $10,000.
