I love both but grew up my whole life with cats. I've only had 2 dogs in my life, one whom died very young. Personally I've never understood this dog vs cat thing. To me they're both cute and worthy of love and affection. If I could afford it, I'd take in a dog or 2 or 3....as long as they got along with cats. Then maybe a pig, some horses, sheep, llama and fluffy bunnies and hamsters.

We have a cat and a dog, and I love them both a lot. But, the kitty and I have a special bond.

I like both.
I am allergic to cats, though, so I can't say I've spent enough good time around them to really, really like them.
I have a 10-year-old chihuahua; I've grown up with him and he's really a great dog.

This was today, actually:

Only dogs I really like are sammies and huskies. I have one sammie, and she's got the most hairbrained, random, well-mannered temperament of any dog I've ever known.

As for cats, I have two sleeping on me right now, refusing to allow me to get up so I can get coffee. They're too cute for me to move them.

I love both, but I have only owned Dogs. I would like to try owning a Cat in the future. Maybe both at the same time.

Dogs. Dogs! DOGS!! !

Actually I have a cat too (not entirely sure how that happened) and I love her dearly. But dogs are where my heart has always been, and I can't imagine life without one. Or more.

Dogs give you unconditional love (wonderful for an Aspie), but cats love you only when it suits them.

I only had two dogs at different points in my childhood but I've been around others some. I haven't had much experience with cats except for my girlfriend's one. I don't hate cats but I prefer dogs. Dogs are loyal, trainable & predictable. Cats are inconsistent, climb on things so they're harder to keep contained or away from certain areas/things, & the litterbox is bad for my allergies & sinuses.

I like dogs better. My favorites are fluffy mastiff types, like newoundlands and sight hounds like afghan hounds.

I don't dislike cats, though. My favorites are ragamuffins and orientals.
