Anyone here a mecha - fur or car - fur?

I heard this term on the internet, and I think it means that you really, really like characters like robots (like the Transformers) and anthropomorphic Cars (like the Chevron Cars or the characters from the Pixar Cars movies), and imagine what you'd look like as a Transformer, or Car, or whatever....you know, like furries sometimes do.

I have a carsona - here's Little Pink Coupe!



I'm not trying to say that EVERYONE who likes Transformers, Cars, or whatever is a mecha - fur/car - fur....I'm not really sure how to explain it, really...for me, it's like being a furry, but with Cars, planes, Transformers, etc. That's really the only way I know how to put it.

I've never seen a carsona before. How come she has paws?

Ohh I've heard of this. Sadly only heard. You're the first mecha-fur I've come across. I'm just a plain old vanilla furry, although I prefer the term scalie. Glad to see we have a little bit of everything on WP though =D.

That's actually a good question, Sparx...I'm not sure myself; I've always drawn anthro Cars that way. But to answer your question as best I can, I think it's because for some reason, when I think of an anthro Car, I think of a powerful animal like one of the big cats (lions, panthers, etc) or a bear...I guess I tend to draw my anthro Cars (and my carsona) with a bear in mind. For me, bears carry connotations of being protective, like guardians, or something like that.

What? Cars don't have paws! D:

I'm going to say because the artist wanted her to. You be delving into the deepest parts of the furry fandom without getting into the sex stuff(which is not to be mentioned) fgents. Furcars are rare and, my point here being, pretty much anything goes.
