Are there movies that you are in the mood to watch a ridiculous amount of the time? Name them here, without shame!

Mine aren't necessarily my *favourite* movies, but for some reason I just keep wanting to watch them.

Current:
Pride & Prejudice (2005)
Imagine Me & You
Coherence

Previous:
Sliding Doors
Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead
Encino Man (what was I thinking??)

Terminator II
Mad Max II
Alien II
Back to the Future II

Them all being "II" is a coincidence, I think.

Amadeus
Training Day
Pulp Fiction
Finding Nemo
Beauty & the Beast

I always default to these movies because I remember most of the lines.

I've had various "drunk movies" over the years, movies that I would pop in while knocking back one too many (or four too many), where I don't have to focus on the plot (since I already know it) and can just skip around the various scenes and enjoy it in my drunken stupor. They include:

Nosferatu (1922)
Horror of Dracula (1958)
2001: A Space Odyssey (1968)
Night of the Living Dead (1968)
The American Friend (1977)
Dawn of the Dead (1978)
Alien (1979)
Rocky (1979) & sequels
Blade Runner (1982)
The Road Warrior a.k.a. Mad Max 2 (1982)
Star Trek II (1982) & Star Trek IV (1986)
The Thing (1982)
Highlander (1986)
Bram Stoker's Dracula (1992)*
Die Hard with a Vengeance (1995)
Hamlet (1996 & 2000)
Godzilla 2000 (1999)
Bad Santa (2003)**
Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows (2011)

As you can tell, my DVD and Blu-ray collection is far too big, and I drink way too often. :)

* I pretty much have to be drunk to watch this train wreck of a movie.

** If there's a better drinking movie out there, I'm not aware of it.

Hmmmmm...... :chin:
the colorized version of "it's a wonderful life" is one, it reminds me to keep plugging away at life. then there's "polar express" as it just takes me away from my present problems. then there are the "santa clause" movies. one of these days i'll have to watch "home alone" to see what all the fuss was about. I suspect the slapstick humor in it might get old quickly. "saved by the light" and "made in heaven" remind me to keep my eyes on the sparrow.

Depends on my overall interest at the time, but anyway:

The Way of the Gun (doesn't really appeal to many people, but I like it)
Sergio's Dollars Trilogy
Kill List
Fallen (another niche thing)
Silence of the Lambs/Red Dragon
Mad Max/Road Warrior
Zodiac

There aren't really a lot of movies I have a strong urge to watch really often...but some I like that I've seen over and over again and will put on to watch from time to time to watch or if someone hasn't seen it will watch it with them. Anyways some of those are
Fight Club
Lord Of The Rings
Pirates of The Caribbean
True Lies
Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels( well actually anything with Jason Statham lol, I like the movies he's in)
Secret Window
Wizards(I have not ran into many who have seen it)
Young Guns
to name a few.

i do not like movies, but there are a few i have watched more than once that i enjoy.

1. who's afraid of virginia woolf. i dentified with the character played by richard burton. a classic movie.

2. king of comedy (with robert deniro and sarah bernhardt and jerry lewis). the only movie i have ever found funny.

3. audrey rose (with anthony hopkins). it is compelling to watch the story unfold.

4. wolf creek (1st movie NOT the second) (australian horror). a genius performance by john jarret.

5. joan of arc (the 1999 telemovie) with lee lee sobeiski (sp?). there is another movie of the same name in the same year (for cinema) that is much more popular but i like the TV movie one. the cinema one is quite inferior and alludes to the sexual attractiveness of the joan of arc character and i guess is more aimed at a younger audience, but the TV one did not include any alluring poses or pouting or other mechanisms designed to titillate.

that is all i can remember for now.

I have "mood movies"----for instance, recently I had the blues, and I had "The Fugitive" in the VCR side of my player, and "Double Jeopardy", in the DVD side, and I just played one first, then the other, for several days; they're movies that make me "keep going".

Then, sometimes, I want to ESCAPE the mood I'm in, and I play "Arthur" (1&2), "Night at the Museum" (1&2; don't have 3), "King Ralph", "Smoky and the Bandit"----and, I WOULD watch "The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas", but it broke (VHS). These are "sweet" movies, and I just need that, sometimes.

Also, I have a mood that I don't have a name for----maybe, it's a "Yeah----get 'em ALL!" mood----and, I watch "Rambo" (especially 2, cuz it's more action than 1, and better than 3, IMO).

Sometimes, I'm in a Musical Movie mood, and I'll break-out "Chicago", "Rent", "Sister Act", "The Rocky Horror Picture Show"----or, go waaaaaay back and break-out "The Sound of Music", "Mary Poppins", "Chitty Chitty, Bang-Bang", or "Bedknobs and Broomsticks".

Then, there'll be times when I'm in an Animated Movie mood----"Toy Story" and "Cars" are a couple of my faves.

At Christmas, I watch the "Santa Clause" ones, over and over and over----plus, the old cartoon ones, like "Rudolph", and "The Little Drummer Boy".....

On Halloween night, I play my DVD that has ONLY all the "Roseanne" Halloween episodes, on it.

There are many, MANY others that I can watch over and over and over, again----this weekend, I think I'll be watching "Pollyanna", on loop, probably (it's another sweet movie, but it has some religion parts in it, and I think I need that after PPR!), and I've seen it about a million times----considering I saw it, when it first came-out in the 60s----and, maybe I'll watch the 60s version of "Parent Trap", too (I like the one with Natasha Richardson in it, too, but I don't have it). Others, include: "Girl Interrupted", "Pride and Prejudice" (that Keira Knightley is a friggin' GENIUS, IMO), "The Shawshank Redemption", "War Games", "How to Marry a Millionaire", "Twister" (I always watch this, several times every year, during hurricane / tornado seasons), "Project X"----oh, there's just sooooo many.....

Also, that made-for-TV "Joan of Arc" movie is one of my all-time favorites!! I have it, and have watched it, several times!

Oh, I forgot..... I have a movie that I play every single night, so I can sleep----it's the only one I know-of, that I have, that will automatically start-over when it's finished (I know you can set a movie, through your remote, to "loop"----but, for some reason, it doesn't always work, and it wakes me up, when it shuts-off).

I think that hardly a week goes-by, that I haven't seen a movie from my collection----or, on TV, for that matter (I'll even watch movies on TV, that I own).
