those times when your leg or arm does a sudden jerking movement. i hate those, my pen flies of of my hand, its annoying!

but I don't think I have tourettes... and it is not very frequent, maybe once a day, perhaps twice.

but I am sure everyone has jerking movements like that.

have you noticed any?

Only when I'm low on potassium. Eating a banana seems to make it go away.

I hate twitching... not sure what it is, probably sort of a nerve thing...

something that helps for me is activity... so if its an arm that's twitching I swing it around and stretch it and loosen up... if its a leg or something I'll go for a walk... stuff like that

My eye brows do that sometimes, but it's usually because they have become sentient and are trying to escape my face.

I have Essential Tremors & my hands & arms sometimes shake when I'm doing things with fine motor-skills, nervous, stressed, frustrated ect. I assume jerky movements are related to that. It was made aLOT worse by psych meds especially anti-psychotics

You'll go blind!

Oh, wait...

Yup, I get this. No idea why, and there's no discernable pattern to me.

I thought it LOL

I don't have the jerking thing but often, I will be sitting with a cigarette in my hand and it will just fall. Talk about jumping up quick because it sometimes land in my lap. That happens about once every couple of week or so.

I stand corrected!

i actually came into the thread to see if i needed to move it to Adult lol

i twitch a lot. it was a relief to try Ativan for a while as it stopped my jerking. i am taking Seroquel at night now to help me sleep and it makes my twitching much worse for a couple of hours in the morning.
