...I mean yes I know the entire concept was discovered by a man with a last name ''aspergers'' but it is an awful name for my condition...what about socialitism or something..just not something beginning with ass haha. I mean as an aspie...it just sounds annoying when I even mention having it. (mainly because of the name)

I keep writing letters to The Official Society of People Who Totally Choose the Names of Disorders, begging them to change the name to Social Clusterf**k Syndrome, but they just ignore me.

You should pronounce it as "Ahs-pairger". Since it is an Austrian name, you just have to ask yourself: What Would Arnold Schwarzenegger Say?

I say AS. It kills two birds with one stone: it can mean Asperger Syndrome or Autism Spectrum.

i sorta like the term "aspie." it's almost cute. but if that were banned, i wouldn't mind it being replaced with the term "wrong planet syndrome." thataways, if somebody asked me what the hell was wrong with me, i could just say, "i'm on the wrong planet, help me go home!" or "i got up on the wrong side of the universe today."
anyways, it wouldn't be 100% accurate to call me "high-functioning" anything.

How about Social Communication Disorder? Wait, that has already happened and it's been proposed in the DSM so far. But they are taking it off the spectrum.

I just say I'm a walking clusterf**k at first. I don't tell people I have aspergers unless they are decent friends of mine.

edit:

If you capitalise the c Clutserfuck just turns to f****r? What?

Some people use the word Asperger as a noun, like "I met an Asperger today." :?

"wrong planet syndrome" has the advantage that if you just use the first letters, you get "WPS" which could be enunciated as "whoops!" like, "i have whoops!" :) ok, i'll stop now ;)
