Stuffed pockets

When I get ready to go to school or work, loading up my coat is almost like loading a cargo jet. I always have to have my coat pockets filled with whatever junk I think I might need.

Here is a listing:
2 glasses cases (One for sunglasses, the other for regular pair)
cloth to clean glasses
Housekey
Thumb drive
Pocket calendar/organizer
Earplugs
Small water bottle
Hat (I stuff it in my pocket when I go indoors)
Pocket radio with earphones
Batteries for said radio
Assorted pens and pencils

And that's just the stuff I carry in my coat. That's not counting the watch and wallet I have elsewhere on me.

Is anybody else like this? Does anybody else unable to go out the door without taking half of the contents of their house with them?

Yeah thats one thing I loved about college having a backpack/book bag or whatever
its called(excuss for a man to have a handbag). I had a bottle of Advil, small needle nose vicegrips, TI-85, Coins for vending
machines, pens (never pencils), paper, lab books, books (text or libray) sometimes a
copy of Penthouse mag. Okay i may have been packing heat to. I usually kept a few thousand in cash on me(maybe thats something nutty an aspie with a few thousand would do)

Today I had in my pocket $102 in paper money 2.00 in change to give my nephews
(buying love is cheap for a 4 year old and a 3 year old). Small adjustable wrench for
bike repair ( I rode my bike many miles to visit my nephews). Keys to two houses.

Yeah, I find that I have this horror of winding up in someplace and finding myself bored. So I bring all kinds of stuff that I might need or want or find interesting. Besides, I hate asking people for anything.

Oh hell yes! Add to my collection, some kind of strongly scented natural herbs to sniff in case I get into an area of wicked or repulsive, especially plastic smells. I also keep a large garbage bag with me to turn into a pancho if I need to. I can't deal with a wrist watch, but I used to carry a pocket watch. I need a measuring scale with metric and Imperials markings, sometimes, but that's another story. At least I don't have to carry cigarettes and a lighter with me everywhere I go, anymore.

Thank goodness for large camera bags ... I can put all my "purse stuff" inside it with my cameras and not get too much of the wrong attention

A follow-up to my previous post:

I love coats. I feel too naked and "normal" without one. Call it some sort of obsessive-compulsive disorder, or call it a defense mechanism, but, when I am away from the safety of my room and out in the world, I need to wear a coat or else I am just another chump with nothing in his pockets.

My habit of wearing a coat every day developed slowly over my elementary school years, and then fully blossomed around middle school, when I would wear one to school even in the early fall, during the heat of a Tennessee summer. Since 1996, I don't believe I have stepped inside a classroom without a coat on.

At the moment:

Left front pocket: Great big wad of keys, personal cellphone, disposable lighter.
Right front pocket: Wallet, tin of Altoids, large pocketknife clipped to the top of the pocket.
Clipped to belt on the left hip: Surefire flashlight in a nylon belt case, work cell phone
Clipped to belt on the right hip: Spectralink cordless phone.
Left back pocket: Magazine for the pistol in my glovebox. (That way if anyone breaks into my car & steals it, all they have is a funny-looking club. It's an obscure model that you cannot find ammo or magazines for locally.)
Right rear pocket: A piece of note-paper, folded.
Around the neck under the shirt: Silver Mjolnir pendant.
Around the neck over the shirt: Badge holder with work ID, card of useful numbers, two pens & a mechanical pencil, pin for service during & just after Katrina, and a secure thumb drive for storing user's data. On its own lanyard, a personal thumb drive used to carry anti-spyware software and useful patches.

I have also worn a coat in Florida in the summer, although I did wear shorts with the coat. I don't like it when my skinny little arms are uncovered, but I have no qualms about baring my legs. That's probably because they're big and thick and masculine.

I thought I was bad, but I've got nothing on some of you. How many phones do you need, Cybrludite? And your neckwear seems comparable to Mr. T.

I prefer the term 36DD breasts.

It is the direction of my hopes for this thread.

I am so lucky to be a girl...I get to carry all that in my purse

I got into the habit if totting everything with me do to poverty and sensery issues...
things I must have at all times....

chap stick(hate rough lips)
toothbrush(hate tooth fur)
hand lotion(hands ache when to dry)
50 cough drops(smokers dry throat)
finger nail file(instead of biting rough cuticals and snagged nails)
rolling tobacco and papers,lighter(addicted)
beverage(again,dry throat)
Niccorette(in case my lighter doesnt work or I lose my cigs...did I mention,I'm addicted)
emergency phone numbers(in case of....)
at least one book(again addicted)
ipod(may need a cat picture or music fix)
Notebook(in case I have a brilliant idea...I have a horrible memory)
Vicks vapor rub(for sniffing)
hand sanitizer(in case I touch something "icky" at thrift store)
tampons(nothing worse then spotanious eruptions in public places....ewwww)
wallet(cash,ID,etc)

I also have a seperate backpack for misc stuff I bring to work as well as bag for my computer
My car is my second purse...with "everything I might need if war breaks out(food,plastic gloves,cloths,
knives,flashlights,tupperware,snow shoes and roller blades.)but I dont have a cell phone...go figure.

I believe in the Boy/girl scout motto....Be prepared
