It's the 1st day of April, also called "Prima Aprilis", "The Fool's Day".
Watch out for jokes. People will lie today. A lot.

The jokes I faced today so far and figured out:
A friend told me I am pregnant because he had his blood taken and the result said so.
A guy in a game I play said he is developer and messes with the code so people who complain about game mechanics get back luck.

Jokes I failed for so far:
None, as far as I know.

Jokes I made so far:
In the game I play I said that the next update developers will make us able to get a share of the exp our guild members earn. They figured it out.

Stuffs I thought were jokes but were not:
A friend told me you can play pac-man in google maps today. I didn't believe it till I checked.

How was your day so far?

I was going to send my boyfriend a text saying something like ''I don't think we should see each other any more. I have cancelled our plane tickets for our vacation and I have nothing more to say to you. But no need to get disheartened - this is an April Fools joke, and the real truth is I LOVE YOU FOREVER!! !! !! !! See you soon darling xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx'', but I am reluctant because he might get upset before he's finished reading it (before getting to the April Fools joke confession), and put his phone down and not want to read the rest. Or he might not like having such a big shock like that and being fooled by it. So I think I'd better not. Personally I would love that, it would make me think ''oh, that's a good one!'' But not everybody likes that feeling of extreme shock to extreme relief.

In a favorite game of mine (Nuclear Throne), there was a patch for April Fools where the developers took a particular boss (one that's huge and slow but causes lots of destruction) and made it into a playable character.

And then playing that was about the only thing I did for like the next 5 hours. It was hilarious.

Other than that... just seeing random wacky stuff on the Net. Nobody I actually know gives a fart about April Fools, so there's no jokes or anything happening, as per the usual each year.

I tried to make fun of my cat.

She was begging for a treat so I opened the treat bag, pretended I am taking one out and put it in the bowl full of regular cats food. She smelled the food for a while and looked at me. Her eyes were saying "You think I am stupid or what?".
I can't even fool a cat... :ninja:

Nothing weird never happens to me on April 1st. Nobody is around to play pranks on me, and I'm not around to play pranks on them. Pus I doubt they'd fall for it even if I tried, because it's nearly impossible for me to keep a straight face while handing them gum that turns your teeth blue.

I found a nice way of surviving the Fools day. It's almost over now and I must say that although in the morning I was quite irritated later on I got used to it. I joined a discussion in a chat and while I was behaving just like I usually do (saying truth and only truth, pointing out literal meanings of sentences etc.) people were talking with me naturally. For the first time noone said I am trolling them when I was saying the truth about my social issues etc. They were probably still thinking that I lie but instead of attacking me they decided to "play along". It was fun. It may be all just act of them but I felt accepted.

I think I hate April Fools Day. I've never thought about it before but essentially it's actually kind of cruel. I'm an accepting, trusting person and when I see something presented in a sincere way, I get taken in. I feel like a chump. I have a sense of humor but not when I feel like someone just took advantage of me because of:

A) My bad memory for what frigging date this is.

B) my natural gullibility.

I feel kind of pissed off with this day. I think it's mean.

Thankfully, no one pulled a joke on me today, so I'm OK.

Most April Fools jokes are cliches, so I try to avoid them as much as I can, and I'm not good at telling jokes myself, so I think April Fools as a whole is a cliche in itself.
