for a year now i have owned a golden retriever. these type of dog breeds are so cute and fun too play with but how they can't talk like people etc....? one day will dogs evolve be able too talk like humans since there very intelligent and over thousands of years have gone from wild animals too being domesticated.

as much as i love my dog all it can really do is bark or just sit there with its tongue hanging out starring into space but it can't have a conversation with me.

All dogs only know how to bark.
Maybe someday they will evolve but that takes millions of years.

If you truly think all a dog does is bark or just sit there with its tongue hanging out staring into space, you must have missed the class Animal communication 101............there is so much more going on you just have to look for it. Also barking is one way dogs communicate along with other sounds they make and all their body language.

They don't need to talk like people. They seem perfectly content with there communication abilities IMO.

Will human speech just catch on with them? Maybe. I heard something about how their barking could very slowly start to sound similar to human vocalization.

How a dog moves his ears and his positioning can tell you a lot more than you can derive from the average person. Dogs are pretty good at telling you what they're thinking.
