It occurred to me I've never had lobster. Does anyone know what it tastes like? Texture, etc.? Most reviews seem positive, but some say it's rubbery, and generally gross.

I haven't had much exposure to seafood, aside from shrimp and fish. Some say it tastes like crab or shrimp.

Hmm. I'd have to disagree. Maybe they don't eat much seafood? None of the three taste anything alike to me.

Claw meat and tail meat are quite different from each other too. I have to wonder if those who think that crab shrimp and lobster all taste alike, are overcooking them.

Lobster is delicious, but I feel bad for eating them, and worse after I found out that they can live as old as a person.

I've tried it, way to rich for me. It's like a really, really rich crab.

God I love lobster, its sweet and firm, almost like a scallop. It has a fresh taste and a little salty, and if its cooked in its shell it takes on a slight nutty taste.

On a side not lobsters are awesome animals! Did you know they are neigh immortal! They are one of the few animals that do not have shortening telomeres..... absolutely amazing...

The only way to describe the taste of lobster is to say that it tastes like lobster. It's great. If you have never had it, just order a single lobster tail the first time, instead of a whole lobster. Make sure you get extra butter to dip it in. Its not difficult to eat, but it requires a special technique, so watch a YouTube video of how to eat a lobster tail first.

It's addicting. Just in case you don't like it, order it in a surf n turf, so you have something else to eat if you don't care for the lobster.
