I think this belongs here more than the Asperger's section as it is a joke.
I was thinking today, if there was an Aspie Superhero, what would he look like and what would his special powers be.
I think first of all, his biggest weapon would be the "Aspie Stare". Using the Aspie stare he could freeze or melt anything, depending on what he needs.
Any more ideas? lol

Super genius with an obsession with crime and the various ways to stop it... (of course)

Hmm... well... maybe he'd have the power of invisibility. It would double for getting out of social situations in a pinch, and it would also allow for fighting crime in a non-violent way :)

He could follow the villain closely while invisible and talk about his special interest of cats constantly whenever nobody but the villain was nearby. The villain would think he's surely gone insane and have himself committed to a psych ward. Then the cops just arrest the villain from there :)

The reason he talks about cats is he likes them and is so his cover doesn't get blown :). What evil villain wants to admit to his villainous buddies that he was committed to a ward and caught for hearing a voice excessively talk about kitties? :|

He would be a super spy.

Basically he would walk into high security places and people would ignore him.

Superheros (like, superhero comic style ones, probably others) generally have some aspie-like traits . . .

- they feel like outsiders, and have difficulty understanding/accepting the status quo of their surroundings
- they pursue intensive, individual interests
- they keep to themselves, and trust very few others
- they are pre-occupied with reason, and often have incredibly complex, convoluted understandings of reality, that develop through research
- they are often bad at romance or navigating relationships
- they often behave in ways that offend others through naivete
- they often have strange, quirky mannerisms/routines and live in lairs
- they understand things in a very black/white manner, believing in good and evil for example
- they have a poor fashion sense

Well, I'm repeating myself, but I think the superhero tropes and Aspergers symptoms line up fairly closely. Especially in cases where a secret identity is involved and the origins story is fully flushed-out.
