Has this ever happened to you?

Tonight when I was walking home, this idiot threw an egg at me! It hit my shoulder and splattered all over the back of my hair. It was quite painful, it felt a bit like having a softball thrown at me, probably due to the speed from being thrown from the car. The guy also yelled 'F*** you' to me.

How would you feel if you were me, would you tell the police and try to get him charged with assault? I'm not going to because the police here are corrupt and even worse than people who egg random strangers, and I'm a forgiving person, plus it would be impossible to prove it happened because I wasn't even bruised or anything, but he might not be so lucky next time he eggs someone!

I once had someone throw drinking-cube-style ice onto me from a moving car. It didn't hurt but it was bizarre.

I suppose such people are generally young and not very nice in general, also cowardly. At some point they will inevitably be punched in the face or similar and they will change their behavior, because somehow physical pain is highly meaningful to them.

I recommend not taking it personally. If nothing else, it's something you can cross off your list of stuff that's happened to you.

I had someone throw a cup of pop from McDonald's at me quite a few years ago. I guess that their logic was that they hated people who were different and they wanted to try and make my life a living hell.

Thats awful, but i've had hard begals thrown at me from a motor vehical while i was walking.
the only way to eliminate that is probably to be a driver yourself. (nobody can throw stuff at you inside the comfort of your car.

the worst is when they scream out of thier windows, they might as well throw something at me because it scares me just as bad haha

i'm like a baby deer in the tall grass. i startle easy :pig:

I've had a lot of unfortunate crap happen when walking abroad. Cars tend to treat pedestrians like target practice where I live. One car almost hit me when it was my turn to walk and as they left they yelled out "b***h". I had another incident when one vehicle thought it'd be funny to get right in front of me in the soft shoulder and stop every time I went around them. There was no side walk it was a scary experience until another vehicle intervened and gave me a lift. Anyway sorry about your incident. I don't know what it is about people acting like bullies behind their wheels. It seems to be a common thing here.

theres a dark bridge nearby (the road goes under the trains) which gets a huge pudle of water sometimes, you have to wait until theres a gap in the traffic and run to make absolutely sure of being dry. last year all seemed well, there was only a stationary van parked a little way up the road... this was no accident, they drove back to get my response afterwards.

i was nearly egged recently, but they missed! so thats a victory for me i suppose. I feel bad for the hens though, poultry farming is a perverse enough industry to support allready without just being for something to throw.

That's awful! If you have the license plate number, I would contact someone. People shouldn't be allowed to get away with acting so childish.

I once used to stand around a bus stop which was full of people, I had a can of f*****g ice tea green being thrown at my head from behind me, all spilled and stuff, I looked back and everyone acted like nothing happened, at all. They all looked in different directions. Idiots.

Sometimes I feel like pedestrians are seen as some kind of inferior minority by some people.

Some guy threw a rock at me from his car just for me to throw it back at him and hit his car. He didn't seem too happy after that.

Sad to hear it happened to you. I loathe people attacking those who mind their own business.

I've mentally prepared myself to respond by throwing my knife at said car if it ever happens to me (I'm an ok knife thrower, as it's something I do when I'm feeling stressed due to the concentration it requires). Denting the car in the least is good payback. I don't want to make it easy for them.

Sorry to hear that. The way I see it, people who throw stuff from cars are cowards. They know you can't stop them as they're speeding away!
