When I was young, around 8, I could walk and run just like a dog or cat just as easily as walking normally. My dad didn't know how I could do it. I can remember running 4 legged all around the house! I remember one time we were doing something in gym class and one of the competitions was to run from one side of the gym to the other like this. I finished when everyone else was only half way.

This was just one of my childhood quirks that I find interesting and I wonder if anyone else did this too.

I think I was about 7or 8 when I used to walk around on all fours I used to pretend I was a cat,
I was picked on at primary school for doing that even when I grew out of it.

I only do this when going up the stairs.

I used to do it going up the stairs until a couple years ago. I could never walk or run with ease on all fours though; my legs are a lot longer than my arms.

I used to do it when walking up stairs, and sometimes on flat ground, but not quite as easily.

I think I used to do that going up the steps too. I also could run fairly fast from a squatting position. Damn, I miss being a kid.

I'm unable to do that :o Probably because of my woody body movement.

I still do it when I go upstairs. When I am alone sometimes I will make animal sounds and pretend I am some sort of animal. I usually do it because I can get up the stairs faster on all fours as opposed to running bipedal. Other times its just plain fun.

I can't do it anymore. I'm nowhere near as flexable as i used to be. I still sometimes go upstares on all 4s, mostly because there's not nuch headspace in the stairwell at my house.

I wish i had video if me doing this when I was a kid. I also used to be able to jump up onto the kitchen counter when i was in ''cat mode''. Come to think of it, I was pretty damn hyperactive when I was a kid :)

Hah, me too. Only when going up stairs though - it's much faster and makes a nice rhythm on all fours.
I have to resist doing it in public places, like offices.

Heh, this is prodding my memory, yes I used to play a lot in the house like this & go upstairs (more quickly when using hands).
I used to go downstairs too head-first but the arms were the weight-bearing limbs obviously.
I really had forgotton about this till now, thanks for reminding me of something fun from the past !

I had a strange habit of going up stairs on all 4s. I never actually stopped doing it until I realized I was doing it, that is to say until I actually thought about it.
