Let's say you discovered something and as such get the chance to name it. Pretend that no rules of taxonomic classification are applicable. What would you call your planet, animal, disease, or whatever thing you've discovered? Any story behind it?

Disease: mankind

We discovered fire, then it just went down hill from there.

Disease: The inability to lie.

It would be interesting to see what would happen to the individual with this disease if they attempted to lie... :chin:

Planet: Kaylina

It sounds planety and mystical to me.

Animal: .... this would depend on what the animal looked like and the temperament.

Disease: Alotoshite

Makes me laugh.

I would name a planet Francestopia, a disease Francesitis, and animal Francespanther even if it wasn't a cat, I just like how it sounds.

I obviously would want full credit for discovering it, huh?

Hilarusfelisphobia, an irrational fear of or strong aversion to lolcat images. I've met two people with this debilitating condition in another forum.

Jim Carrey devoted a whole movie to that very theme.

Disease: Fictophilia, fictomania or Walter Mitty Syndrome

Description: Preferring to indulge in fictional or imaginary worlds and characters rather than deal with the real world and real people.

If this were a real disorder, I would most definitely be diagnosed with it.
