I like metal but in all truth I shouldn't be listening to it. Mostly because it gets me all pumped up and full of adrenaline.

For the same reason I like punk. Mostly Green Day and Social Distortion. Again though, I shouldn't really listen to it as it doesn't really have good results.

I love all music, but metal is where my heart is. I'm totally in love with the melodic death metal bands from Sweden right now. Dreamshade, Marionette, In Flames, etc.

My favorite genre of music is Metal. Although I'm mostly into Thrash Metal, and thanks to a good friend, also into Power Metal. I also like Rock well enough :?

Favorite songs in no particular order except the first song is #1 to me...

-"The Flame" by Cheap Trick
-"Don't Fear the Reaper" by Blue Oyster Cult
-"Nothing Else Matters" by Metallica
-"Fade to Black" by Metallica
-"Welcome Home" by Metallica
-"The Four Horsemen" by Metallica
-"Skywards" by Elvenking
-"Moonchariot" by Elvenking
-"Hurricane" by 30 Seconds to Mars
-"This is War" by 30 Seconds to Mars

I don't follow many artists usually though. The only artists I really like are Metallica, Cheap Trick, and Elvenking. It seems other music I listen to, I mostly just like random songs from artists. While I don't like everything from the bands I mentioned, I like too many of their songs to not just like the band :|

I have more favorite songs than the ones listed above, but those were just the ones I could think of without going through my music. My favorites always inspire a deep emotion of some sort... at least to me. I also have a thing for love songs despite my favorite genre being metal... preferably rock ones, or metal power ballads. And love song meaning love... not about sex, which is just boring and made to sell >_>

Well the truth is I don't like a specific genre, but rather a specific sound, that's spread over 1000 genres ranging from metal to jazz to techno.

For example:

I do prefer the harder aspect of music though.

I also love drum & bass/jungle. It's the flip-side of my coin.

I love listening to rock music, especially rock from the 1980s.
