Excuse my ignorance, but someone enlighten me. What is trolling?
What do all these abbreviations mean
that people use in chat and in emails?
I know what flaming is. Hm. Has hacker changed to cracker? Is there new terms for the old ones?? I don't even know the old ones, let alone the new ones.
Please help.

I'm not sure exactly what you're after, but if you name some I'm pretty sure I could define them as I'm quite well-versed. PM me with a list if you like.

Is trolling abusing and ridiculing users via posting?

Flooding is where you post and bring back old topics.

Flaming is like trolling, spamming and stuff.

That's what I think. Correct me if I'm wrong :|

Trolling is the act of going to message boards with the specific intent of causing trouble.

Flaming is insulting somebody.

Spamming is posting stuff like adverts for eBay auctions, pyramid schemes, moneymaking scams, and so on, on totally unrelated message boards (I believe it's called spam because there's so much of it, as in the Monty Python "spam" sketch).

mmm. Or perhaps because spam is such a thrown together product of second rate processed meat.
