Well, insomnia has reared it's red eyed head again and I'm up. I've been looking at the forum and listening to music on YouTube and I've run out of ideas.

Here comes your part.

Find me a song on YouTube to listen to. Something you like. I don't care what it is, as long as you like it. The twist is that you can't post the actual video because I won't be able to see it as videos do not show up at all since my daughter updated the computer. You will need to post the link as a URL please. If you want to post both so that other people can just click on the video, thats cool. Just make sure to please give me a clicky link to use.

Post as many as you want, I'll listen to them. And if you are reading this thread tomorrow or some other day or night and have a wild hair, you can post one now too and I'll look at it.

Come on ya'll, expand my musical horizons. I like all kinds of music. I may or may not like what you pick for me, but I'll certainly give it a listen. I'll never know unless I give it a chance, right?

Identify, it's blocked in my country it says. What is it and I'll find another copy of it on there?

Oh no, sorry about that. It was Atomic by Blondie, but it is rather upbeat. A good one for night time I think would be Alone in Kyoto by Air. It's quite chilled out. :)

I will go look them both up right now. I've actually never heard either. I'm 48 so Blondie was very popular back in the day and I had a couple albums as well, but I used to be one of those people who never listened to any song on the album except the ones I had heard on the radio. So I never heard Atomic because I don't guess they played it here. I won't be going to sleep tonight, it's too late already and I'd have to get up in two hours, so upbeat is just fine with me!

Thanks for both of them, I'll go look them up right now!

I don't think Atomic is really one of their best, it doesn't have many lyrics but it's quite catchy. Here's another one which is a bit different. In case it's blocked again it is "The dead dead water lily thing" by Rockettothesky.

OK, I listened to Atomic, The Dead Water Lilly Thing, and Alone in Kyoto. Atomic was a bit too dancey for my tastes but I liked the other two. Alone in Kyoto was my favorite of the three.

Thanks for posting them! I'll be checking out other music by them too.

Now I'm off to listen to IdahoRose's picks for me.

IdahoRose,

Ill respond after listening to each, by editing this post.

I just listened to Kiss The Rain and I really liked that one. Imaginary Friend is loading right now. I like to let the YouTube load all the way by clicking play then pausing it right as it starts. That way it doesn't freeze up in the middle. It's loaded now, so I'll BRB.

Imaginary Friend is good. I like how it changes tempo.

The anime one is real easy to get into, I liked it. I can still hear it in my head. I bookmarked that one.

Rugrats Theory was different, but in a good way. It reminded me of something I've heard before but I can't think of what. I think it reminded me of a song I've heard in a musical.

I couldn't get the last one to load. My computers being slow and ornery tonight :-(

Thanks for posting those, I enjoyed listening to them!

You're welcome. Glad you liked them. :) The anime song is one of my favorites - I listened to nothing but that song for like 3 days straight after I first discovered it. Rugrats Theory reminds me of the song Jack's Lament from Nightmare Before Christmas. Could that be the song you were thinking of?

^^ No, for some reason I'm thinking of one of the older ones, like The King And I, or My Fair Lady, but it's neither one of them, just one from back then. It'll come to me later on today when I'm not even thinking about it and I'll try to remember to post it.

Do you like Loreena McKinnett?
