I love that show! It was a minor obsession for me last year when it was available to watch instantly on Netflix. It's hard for me to choose a favorite character, because they're all likable (by 'they' I mean Lister, Rimmer, Cat and Kryten). But my gut is telling me to go with Rimmer, so I guess I'll choose him.
Did any Red Dwarf fans understand my bread related comments above? Maybe too obscure a reference?

Yep, he was an artificially intelligent toaster who had been left on his own on Red Dwarf with nobody to talk to for millennia and ended up building up an entire philosophy about the universe and life based entirely around... bread.
