How do you observe Mother's Day? Usually I get a pound of her favorite See's candy, a card and take her to a local steakhouse. This year the steak dinner is out, but I'm thinking maybe cooking a breakfast even though that isn't my thing. Fortunately for me there's never been a requirement to stick around for the whole day so it doesn't cut too deeply into my interests

I just tell Mom I love her and how important she is to my life. I don't have a job or money but if I did I would buy her a little gift or card.

If I'm feeling better, I'll visit her and give her the small gift that I bought for her. If I'm not quite over my cold, I'll phone her and send her an E-card.

Go for it!! No matter how it comes out, I'm sure she'll appreciate the thought.

it is also australia day here in Australia.

My kids are too young and my son is old enough but too Autistic to understand the concept so I gets nothing.

I did ask my daughter to draw me a picture of mummy yesterday. She drew a picture of mummy killing amy pond and us all in the tardis together with a dalek outside.

I'll tell my mom something like Happy Mother's Day & that's about it. Me & my parents aren't really into celebrating holidays much. We're kind of practical. Just telling her Happy Mother's Day may not be much but least I'm not saying....

I get her something I think she'll really like. I love giving gifts. This year I bought my mom a pair of seashell earrings. When I went to the mall, there were so many beach themed jewelry, seastars, seashells, pails, shovels, chairs, fish. She always wears earrings to work. In the hospital they're not allowed to wear earrings that dangle, so she always wears the small ones, usually flowers, or just a small diamond or whatever. So I got her a pair of small seashell earrings. She really did look excited when she saw them and said she loved them.

I got my mum some flowers yesterday to give to her today. They started to wilt as soon as I left the florist but oh well :?

Thanks I wasn't sure where to put it

It seems Mother's day is a worldwide phenomenon. You guys sure have some nice gestures, I especially liked the keychain. I'm grateful for my mom even though, like with most people, I don't want to exceed the recommended dosage
