What foods remind you of your childhood or makes you feel nostalgic? Both foods you love and foods you don't love all that much but still takes you back.

My main one is what I used to call "spaghetti and egg", heinz tinned spaghetti/hoops with a poached egg with lots of brown sauce and sometimes some toast. It was a staple at my nana's house and I ate it none stop as a kid.
Lion bars, another nana's house staple.
One of the things I hated as a kid though was eating sandwiches on the beach because I always bit into sand at some point, later on in childhood/adolescence I would obsessively wipe my hands for half an hour before eating my beach picnic. I don't play in the sand as much nowadays so it's not as much of a problem.
Strawberry crisp/granola cereals, that was my Saturday morning breakfast as a little kid. I ate huge bowls of it with SMTV live and diggit and stuff. Other granolas were always "daddy's cereal" and I was hardly ever allowed to eat it.

Fine dining level = England, right there

Love it :D

Prawn cocktail always reminds me of going my Grandma's on Boxing day where she'd go all out on the age old buffet too.
Sandwiches cut into iccle triangles, sausage rolls, pork pies, them little cheesy nibble biscuit things, everything you could ever think of pickled, mountains of quavers, wotsits, trifles made with any fruit you could botch into a trifle, stacks of mini rolls and bakewell tarts absolutely everything.

And Banana Bubbles with Timmy Mallet in the advert, I was addicted to that cereal XD

All the foods I remember from my childhood are foods not widely available or not available at all today; Pizza Rollers, Gino Ginelli ice cream, Zig & Zag crisps, Mr Blobby juice, Tom-Toms, Umbongo, Ghostbusters chocolate bars, purple nerds Wonka bars, chocolate cups, Sea Pearls, Secret chocolate bars, Pretzel Flips, and a weird hot pudding that came in various flavours with crumble on top.

Other than all those the number one nostalgic food for me is chicken Provençal.
I believe what we had was a packet sauce by Crosse and Blackwell, my mother would always make this with chips on a Saturday night while my mother and father were still together. My dad would be in his chair passed out drunk while I played, the football results would be on TV and my mother would be cooking in the kitchen then shout through to me to wake-up my dad. So classy, lol.

That looks like good old fashioned pea and ham soup to me..., or maybe pease pudding with bacon?
