It's something I've pondered for years. Do really good looking people like Dr. Reid from Criminal Minds, Tom Cruise, supermodels, Abercrombe & Fitch models, etc know that their life is better than everyone else's? They can get hired anywhere, date whomever they want, get the best tables at the fanciest restaurants, achieve recognition from Hollywood & record companies where everyone else has to struggle, given discounts at retailers that no one else will enjoy? I'd sure love to hear honestly from a pretty person the truth which is, "Yes, being beautiful has its rewards so enjoy your pathetic mediocre life! I shouldn't be wasting my time in your presence! Ha ha!"

Terrible.

You know that the majority of people who show interest in you only do it due to such (but then, the grass is always greener due to the different pesticides in use).

The guy who plays Reid used to be a model. I think for Calvin Klein. Google the pics, you'll be amazed at the difference from how we normally see him to how he looks then.

I heard I'm goodlooking but I don't get many discounts.

It's weird for me; I've had numerous people tell me I look just like various celebrities. I get Val Kilmer a lot, which is cool since I like his movies, though I just looked in the mirror and felt like Neil Young! I get a kick out of it though. The one that makes me cringe is when they say Barney Rubble, ugh! I have an uncle that had a Barney name patch on his shirt, everyone at work was always calling him that.

But I'll thank people when I remind them of real actors. Going on my DOA people reader meter when passing by opposite gender, I get 3 or 4 'motherly' smiles, a 'friendly' one or 2, and a random foul scowl when I go out

The thing I constantly struggle with is when the girl at the counter fumbles and makes mistakes when I'm there. I do know that being nice and friendly is part of the job but can't help but wonder if the slipups indicate a nervous interest, I know I just blow my whole program when I see something I like

And on that, my version of good looking is very non-NT, if I met the ukulele playing girl from 'Raising Hope' I might be inclined to stop posting on WP

Their lives are better because they are famous. They did not get famous entirely because of their looks; they met/got discovered by the rite people with connections.
