i quite like it, it reminds me of the old double-decker trams with the round ends.

oooh i like it... it looks like it can go fast!

I prefer the first one, Aston Martin are much better designers and the second one looks like a sketch of something they pulled out of the scrapyard... Plus Aston Martin's one has a ramp for wheel chair(and powerchair) users...

Why don't they make them as close to the original as possible? Or better still BRING THEM BACK! lol

Why the inward-curving windows on the Aston Martin design?

It's hard to tell, but those are the poles standing passengers use so they don't fall over! The actual window pane frames are the black bars, not the red/white ones.

Oddly I had a dream I was on a Routemaster last night.

When in doubt, ask an autistic. Chances are, they're obsessed with what you need to know.

I've decided to revamp this old thread.

The Routemaster has always been my favourite street vehicle, for as far back as I can remember.

I like Routemasters! Their bright red color is really cheerful. I wish they still ran, because I would have loved to go to England and ride in the top deck of one. 8)

Same here. I've always loved that colour. That colour says London, with a capital L. I love Routemasters. I'm still obsessed with them, after 30 years.

30 years? Wow, you are really dedicated in your love for Routemasters! :) The longest obsession I've ever had lasted only about 7 or 8 years.

Japanese anime. It started when I was 11 or 12 and officially ended in late January of this year.

I think that the Routemaster was the best bus, that London ever had.

well, certainly got more atmosphere than the bendybuses they use now, for sure. but they're not gone entirely from london - they're used on some tourist-friendly bus routes through central london, particularly Heritage Route 9 and Heritage Route 15. there's still time yet to ride on one. save your pennies!

cheers,

Luke.
