Lately I have been into learning more about specific time periods. I can't buy any books right now, and our library doesn't have anything nor can they get things from other libraries anymore. That leaves me with the internet. I've done a lot of Googling of course, and I've found some very interesting things. But I want to know more.

Does anyone here have any good websites on particular time periods? Any suggestions of where to look other than the basic and obvious things to type in on Google search?

Here are the time periods I'm interested in;

Early Middle Ages in Europe
High Middle Ages in Europe
( I have no interest at all in the Late Middle Ages, anywhere)
Victorian Era in England
Edwardian Era in England
Great Depression in America
WWII era in America
1950's in America
Early 1960's in America

So, if anybody else here is interested in those things and wants to chat about them, or if anybody here is good at researching and wants to give me some tips for it, I'd appreciate it!

Out of all those, the only one I'd read up on personally is WWII.
I seem to have some form of obsession with WWII, the battles, vehicles and all.
As for research, I read books, watch movies, and of course, if I want to know anything specific, I search for it on wikipedia.

I used to research Early Middle Ages (and Roman Empire) in kindergarten, and I still have some resources, but unfortunately they are without exception written in Polish.

I have always been fascinated by period clothes, especially Medieval. I don't actually make costumes because of time and financial considerations, but it's one of my fascinations. If I won the lottery, I could easily make this an obsession. There are some costumers out there who insist on strict period accuracy--sewn grommets instead of metal, all hand-sewn, etc.. That could be something to look into.
