We had about 5 days max of really hot temperatures that were creeping over 30 C, and I have this awful feeling that's all we're getting this summer. Otherwise now the temperature keeps lingering around 14 C, and even if it gets up to 18 or 19 there is still a chilly wind or it's raining, so I can't ever wear my sandals or shorts. It's not fair, what's happened to summer? The UK hasn't had many hot summers for about 4 years now but I remember when I was a child almost every summer was really hot, from April to September. It's not fair, why doesn't Britain get normal summers any more? I don't know any other country that has cold summers like this, except for countries like Greenland and other countries like that what naturally have a colder climate anyways. But I don't expect these kind of summers in the UK though. Even some parts of Russia has hotter temperatures than we're having. I don't mind rain showers, but this constant rain that brings cold air and brisk winds is not good enough. It's got all autumn and winter to rain, now give summer a chance! Because if we don't get more hot weather soon, summer will be gone and it'd be back to my worst time of the year again, which is autumn. I HATE autumn because it is the onset of winter and I HATE winter. I LOVE spring because it is the onset of summer, and I LOVE summer. I want hot temperatures, I can't stand these cold summers any more. The rain is my favourite weather in winter, and sunshine and hot temperatures is my favourite weather in summer.

Anyone agree? Anyone else so upset about this that you want to scream???! !! !

It's the same on near Canada's west coast where I live. We had 1 week of really hot weather and now we're getting temperatures of 15 degrees. We even have some rainy days as well. It's June! It's supposed to be sunny and warm! :x

That sounds really similar to the weather we're having south of the (Canadian) border here in Idaho. The last week of May was really hot, but all through June the weather has been stormy, windy and chilly. Where's the hot, sunny weather? I wanna go swimming! :?

Be thankful that temperatures for you are only creeping towards 90 F. For me * lives in Texas * it can creep past 100 F, in fact starting on Monday the weather is supposed to be 97 F.

Joe, come down here and visit me in Alabam in July and August. It's usually in the high 90's by August and half the time the humidity is so high that the air is thick and sticky.

It's in the 80's (F) this week but will be back up to 90 by next Saturday.

If you are interested in checking out weather in other places, here is a link to my local TV news stations weather pages at their website. Click "Weather" at the top of the page and it will give you all kinds of pages to go to for my area. There is even live radar, and when we have tornado warnings you can watch James Spann the weather man on some kind of streaming live thing. He's a very well known weather man in Central and West Alabama and he's probably the highest paid one in the state. Everybody knows who he is, and some people have even posted on his facebook page or blog page requesting weather for certain days and times. Not requesting a forecast for the date and place, but requesting actual weather, ie rain, sun, not too hot, not too cold, etc. I doubt people really believe he can control it, but I'd be willing to bet you cash money that more than a handfull of people think he may possibly have some influence over it. :-)

Here is the link.

Alabama's ABC 33/40 Weather Page

By the way, if you are interested in seeing videos of the huge F-5 tornadoes here last April, let me know. There are a whole lot of them on YouTube and I can post them for you. Some are from the TV stations tower camera and othes are from people filming it themselves.

That's what I want - I want temperatures to be in the high 20s and 30s, maybe even 40 odd (celsius). I can function better in extreme hot temperatures (and I can function better in rain in the winter, not snow, I hate snow).

That's interesting... usually people are the other way around.
