It's what I especially like about them.. they aren't afraid to use a variety of words, even if the movies are aimed at children. Many programmes nowadays are just ret*d, assuming that children are somehow too slow to learn new things, when it's exactly the opposite. I might not have understood every single word in a Disney film as a child, but neither is it needed to grasp the storyline.

PS. I speak English as a second language, so I'm wonder if it's any different for native speakers? Is your perception of these movies similar to mine?

I never really thought of Disney movies as kids movie :oops:

Disney films are a category unto themselves; there's a certain quality to them and they never seem outdated. They are unmistakeable about what they are when you catch a passing glimpse of the screen. I can easily see how they become a special interest. That said, I'm talking about the animated classics, the Pixar stuff leans too heavily on current pop gags that lose relevance after 5 years or so

Disney movies are all propaganda used to shove Walt Disney's radical Communist ideas down our throats starting as an early age.
That's what some people think.
