WOW yes scary and ugh indeed :x

I think any type of snake is scary to me. I don't care if its so tiny and thin like a pencil. I freak out when I see one and scream. lol

^ Lamprey. Until early this year, I didn't know they existed, but I was unpleasantly surprised to find out they did.

^ Anglerfish. Apparently, there are lots of species, and some of them end up on dinner tables. Imagine eating that.

^ This little guy is really scary. 'Coconut Crab'. Looks like a demon from outer space, though.

Ugh, and that's why I hate dark, deep waters. Hearing about Mariana's Trench makes me shudder.

That crab looks horrifying, I didn't know that they could get that big.

Giant squid. Thought to be myth for a while, but these things really exist.

I have seen one of those crabs IRL before. Freaked the crap out of me, that's for sure!

I wouldn't like to be anywhere near this:

Damn, that is awesome - It looks like a flying polyp from the cthuhlu mythos!

This is a Portuguese Man-O-War, a very nasty jellyfish-like (but not jellyfish, apparently) creature.

^^^
Yes and they can have tentacles as long as 10m on official records, although there have been sightings of some that are big enough to have them in the 20m-25m range.

The smaller ones are not deadly but the larger ones certainly are.

I've always found the big cats to be scary looking.

There used to be a panther at the zoo down the road; his stare was quite...abyssal. Granted, I'd be staring all the same in a cage.

Warning: If you watch this video it's extremely disgusting and horrifying if you're scared of giant centipedes and/or snakes.

I have always found them to be exceedingly cute.

They're not really weird and scary, until they remove the glass wall. Same with wolves - in a zoo, they're alright if they're staring at you behind a glass wall, but when you're walking in a remote forest and someone informs you there are wolves nearby, it's scary (luckily, I didn't see them). Imagine the difference between simply looking at this picture and imagining the wolf being right next to you, trying to judge if you're worth the effort for his pack.
