Does anyone know the name of this short story?
I know this is a long shot, but a couple years back I remember finding a short story online which really left an impression on me, I'd like to find it again if I can but I can't remember the title or where I read it.
It was supposedly written by a 30-something year-old woman on the spectrum. It was a romance of sorts, it told the story of an incestuous brother/sister couple in post-Reunification Germany. They were also serial killers who kidnapped and sexually assaulted children before killing them. I know, it sounds 10 different shades of effed up, and it was pretty brutal and violent. Definitely not for the weak-hearted, but it was also really, really raw and emotional. And the way the characters were presented really made it almost impossible for you not to identify with them at least a bit, even in spite of all the horrible stuff they do.
The reason I'm asking about this is here is not just because the writer was on the spectrum, but the story also seemed to really jive with the neurodiverse crowd in general, judging by the comments. I'd like to reread it, but like I said, I can't remember the title. Has anyone ever run across it while surfing the web?
