Yeah, that's true. I'm always amazed at how little the general population actually knows about autism spectrum disorders, though to be fair, I was pretty ignorant about them too before I was diagnosed with one.
Well, they have shows like The Big Bang. I thought it was awful, personally.
I think that show is kind of cute.
However, I almost never watch it because I have a problem with the way that religious people are portrayed. I guess the title of the show itself should have been a tip-off that this may not be the best show for a Christian like myself to watch. Anyway, what I have a problem with is that Sheldon's mom, the Christian, is portrayed as being stupid and old-fashioned, and we're supposed to laugh at her for it - while her son and his friends, the atheists, are the ones that are portrayed as being modern and highly intelligent.
