At what age did you stop believing in him if you ever did?

I stopped believing in him at the age of 10.

WHAT!?javascript:emoticon('8O')

Are you saying he doesnt exist?

but seriously

At 8 in the school lunch room some kids were saying "you know...its really your parents doing all that."
And I thought to myself "that figures", and I started to gradually segue out of believing.

I think I was about 11 when I stopped believing in him when one of the kids at school said he wasn't real I didn't believe her and we ended up having an argument. :D :D :D

I knew it was crap from the beginning. My dad even once told me I caught my mom wrapping the presents she had hidden away on Christmas eve. My mom denies the whole thing, but I think my dad was telling the truth this time. :P

In my head Santa and God somehow merged into one, and it took a wee while for me to figure that one out! I don't know what age I was when I stopped believing but I think it was some time after the other kids in my class at school. I know this will horrify people, but I'm not going to tell my kids (if I have any) that Santa is real. It just seems wrong and illogical to tell your children something that isn't true and then expect them to believe you about other things.

I stopped believing in Santa around 7. Didn't take me long to figure out that "God" was the adults equivalent of Santa.

Well I'm glad someone thinks this is OK. When I mention this to NT people they usually look at me as if I've told them I intend to beat my children and feed them only gruel!

I wouldn't tell my children, either. Why would someone trick their child into believing in something that they know isn't real?

I was told he didn't exist when I was 10 by my mum, I was devastated so carried on believing until I was 12 out of pure defiance.

That is mean. Kids should learn on their own, not be told by parents or adults that they don't exist.
