Subject line says it all, have you been banned from a forum for saying what you thought was reasonable comment and then being shot down in flames for whatever reason?

I'm a big yes after arguing the point that the screws that hold fishing reels together shouldn't be greased prior to assembly. Sounds so simple eh?

I've got banned from a chat room just because the mod was ban happy.

he called me creepy for being afk. :roll:

AFK stands for away from keyboard. Do people still regularly use chatrooms? I've not used one since the early 2000's. I only frequent here and one other forum. There's been a few times were people have shown attacking behavior towards me. Nothing serious though and its something I've never dished out myself. So I've never been banned from anywhere.

Well there are thousands of people on the freenode(IRC chat network) servers.
According to my client, the WrongPlanet channel has like 132 people in it.

I've been kicked but usually it's just a joke thing between me and other ops :lol:

A WP moderator kicked me out of WP's IRC chat because of a misunderstanding.... This was 2 years ago though and things changed ever since really.

Edit: Yes, this is apparently happens when I speak my mind.

I got banned on an automotive forum for voicing a legitimate opinion about Ayn Rand once. I disagreed with her atheistic philosophy of objectivism as stated in "Atlas Shrugged" and was banned for bringing up religion. As "Atlas Shrugged" was the topic being discussed in the thread, it was a legitimate comment on my part as what I posted was about the novel.

I've been banned from a TF2 server for not realizing there's an event going on there, but that was only for a few minutes.

Ayn Rand's expressed admiration for William Hickman bothers me enormously.

One can get to a similar view on issues without having to put up with her so-called philosophy. A much better path is through Classical Liberalism. Take a look at the works of the Austrians Ludwig von Mises and Friedrich Hayek instead.
