First time you *blank* and how you felt about it.
This is a topic about first time experiences and how you felt about it. First and foremost, I understand that everyone has different experiences, so don't feel bad. You can add your own first time experiences in your own responses. Share whatever you want.
Here is the list of firsts, and share how you felt about them if you want to and your age when it happened:
Kiss: 13 years old. It felt weird because I was going for a peck and she was hoping for some tongue. She pretty much licked my lips.
First relationship: Still waiting for it. Only really dated people, and I don't count things from before high school. Pre high school girlfriends only lasted me 3-4 weeks at the most anyway.
First time being dumped: First kiss girl. I hated the feeling, but got over it quickly and made her jealous at some dance party a couple days later when she was in fact trying to make me jealous.
First sport played/sports team: Soccer and I was 6 years old when I started. I sucked at it at first, but played til I was 22 years old and played in recreational house leagues and traveled in more competitive leagues.
First Sports Championship: Soccer again, 9 years old. Placed first in the league in the regular season. However, I am most proud of the championship I earned with my team playing rep soccer when I was 15.
First goal in soccer: I was 7, it felt awesome, especially when it came at the end of the season. This was the beginning of many goals to come.
First time driving a car: 19, got my G1 status license in Ontario (can't be in driver's seat without it, can't drive without experienced driver of 4 years or more in passenger seat. Rules may have changed a little). I was a late bloomer. I was surprised because my dad didn't let me drive with him, then I get my first driver's class in a car, and I am in the driver's seat right away. I felt a little scared at first, but the instructor helped calm me down.
First alcoholic drink: Beer, Labatt's Blue, first had one at age 15. It tasted horrible. Now I love beer, but not Labatt's Blue.
First cigarette: 13. Decided then that I didn't want to do it. Unfortunately changed my mind about 7 years later.
First trip out of the country: Went to Florida when I was five, but with my family. First time on my own, I was visiting my brother while he was living in Rotterdam at the age of 20.
First job: I don't count temp agency jobs, so Wal-Mart would be the first real job I worked. Did truck unloading. I was 19-20, still young and naive at the time. Easy to take advantage of me at that point, and still did not know how to communicate effectively with others.
First time living away from parents: 23. Moved back in with parents after four months because I still wasn't fully ready to be away. It also didn't help my independence going to college in the same city I grew up in.
Well let's see:
Modified my first tv age 6 I am proud of it because I was allowed to use a drill and soldering iron for the first time!
Built my first entertainment center and custom built speakers age 12-13. Had no help and got several awards in shop class!
My first job was at a gas station at 14
I met my very first true best friend Richard Shea at 15.
I went on my first date with my future wife at 15. I had the time of my life!
Got my license and bought my first car (1977 Chevy Nova) at 16. I had awesome times in that car!
Moved in to my first apartment at 23 and proposed to my high school sweetheart 1yr later.
My first time out of the country was my honeymoon in Bermuda at 27. Best vacation I ever had!
First time watching The Rocky Horror Picture Show at 15 also. That was a blast! (Let's do the time warp again)! !!

First time playing soccer - awkward. I was forced into playing sports to make me "normal." I dropped out after the first game. Same with baseball: it just wasn't me.
First time drawing (not kid scribbling, real drawing) - Felt like it "fit" me. This made me realize sports was definitely a mistake.
First time using a firearm (M2)- The sensory input was amazing. Few things have ever been able to provide a similar response.
First time riding a bike (and not failing) - Made me realize that I'd much rather do this than drive in a busy city. You get to the destination faster and do not have to follow as many rules as motorists.

first time i declicked a record [1993], was amazing to me. it was before automated declicking algorithms were available to home hobbyists, so i had to take 'em out one by one, several thousand of 'em, a tedious manual process which wore out a mouse and took weeks to denoise a 3 minute .wav file. but the results were worth it. wave for windows holds a special place in my heart, it was the first dos/windows sound editing program.
