i used to have recurring nightmares of being trapped in a dingy lavatory where all the toilets were plugged and the joint was flooded with stinky sewage with turds floating all over the place, and the stinky sewage was up to my nostrils and i was about to drown. i'd awake from these dreams panting and sweating and out of sorts, totally exhausted. alternately, i'd dream about being stuck in a dingy lavatory full of all manner of nasty insects that were crawling all over me, and all i had to fend them off was a ratty old whisk broom. but most of my nightmares involve me being stuck in a leaden body that took all my energy just to move a little bit. those dreams wore me out.
