Really. There is a sign on the door that says no pants worn below the waist.

You still don't have to wear shoes and guys don't have to wear shirts, but they have to pull their pants up.

Go figure.

There's a reason that guys can't pull their pants up to their waist. That's the most redundant dress code that I've ever heard of. I can understand that guys with baggy jeans should pull them up, so their boxers don't show. I don't understand why all men have to pull their pants up.

I think it's 'cuz down here, a certain demographic of males likes to wear their pants so low that their actual a$$ cheeks stick out (all the way, sometimes). I don't think it's to their actual waists, just up over the buttocks.

When I was a kid there used to be signs everywhere that said, "No shirt, no shoes, no service." Those signs confused me when I was little, because I thought it meant that you didn't have to wear pants, or that if you had on a dress, you wouldn't get served.

Seems like a lovely, tolerant place right there.

I just think it looks silly to have your butt sticking all the way out of your pants. Maybe I'm just old.

My partner works at sixth form college (senior high in America) and he tells the young men with their pants hanging low that it originated as prison code for 'I'm sexually available'. Not true, but it works.

Guess Billie Joe Armstrong won't be entering that store anytime soon.

I've found out the scoop. Guys came in sagging and stuffed food in their pants.

I know, I'm laughing now, but that's really why Mr Paul did it.

My youngest son hasn't worn his pants above half of his butt in about two years and nobody has said anything to him when he goes in there.

I think it was more of a "We are on to what you're doing, so don't even try it!" thing put there for specific people.

I wish that dress code applied at my grocery store.

good to hear(read) that it is for a certain reason and not a blanket disscrimination, but i would find it funny to see a sign saying it, a lot of people wear there pants like that here and i think to myself......what if you had to run?
it's funny how styles disrupt nautral flow, like high heels, low pants, young beautyful women w/ great skin putting on pore clogging make-up so when they get older there skin is horrable?

Actually I hate baggy pants worn below the waist and even the private parts with their underwear showing. But, if they are going to do that, especially in restaurants or stores where sanitary conditions are of concern, shoes and shirts should be worn too. I think some cities are making it against the law wearing pants that low and I'm all for it.
