I'm no stranger to the informal term for flatulence, I've heard it since I was about 10, but this was the first time I ever heard it used on the radio. Normally they just use more recent slang like 'throw them under the bus' and 'drink the kool-aid' Of course they don't use those when trying to sell probiotic yogurt which in itself is a big fad lately

I thought that "throwing [someone] under the bus" meant betraying them. :?

Yes, those phrases (along with 'jumping the shark') have only been around a very short time yet they use them excessively. I just thought it strange to hear the radio personality using a juvenile term in a commercial, especially when he mentioned doing it in front of your parents hypothetically because you didn't use the product

Jumping the shark has been around since Happy Days when Fonzie literally jumped the shark.

I have never heard of an "air biscuit" before. Perhaps I am too young, or perhaps I am stupid and this is something everyone else but myself knows. I don't know...

I've only heard the term for the first time, three weeks ago.

Hmmph, maybe it went dormant after the late 80s and is experiencing a revival, or was a small So Cal colloquialism that slowly wafted (sorry couldn't resist) its way to far-flung regions. The radio personality in question is originally from Philadelphia.

Still blows (sorry) my mind having heard him say that; the delivery and the demeanor don't mesh in my head with the context. I think even if he would have said 'cut the cheese' I'd be doing a double-take. He usually uses phrases like 'stomach pressure' , 'digestive problems' or even 'biohazard' and 'natural disaster'

Now I'm confused about biscuit=cookie or biscuit=dinner roll on how literal I should imagine the illustration to be
