Finally got some sleep!! ! I was up all night till 7 AM... then I decided to get Mel2 involved

I have many other special objects, my wheelchair harness I named her Mel1, My headrest in the pictures is named Mel2, Mel3 is a littmann stethoscope, Mel4 is a Bodypoint Abdominal belt, Emily is my lead apron and Jenny is a cervical collar. when I am having a hard day for sleep I grab one of my objects and sleep with them

Anywho as far as Mel2 goes, my headrest, I like to lick her material all over the neck thing then bury my face in it and smell the warm wet neoprene, it's also a sweaty smell since i like to sit with mel2 on my neck when its hurting and im in bed. like this. All the warm wet slobberiness of Mel2 worked charms, I was out like a light!

heres a post that will shed light on my little love for certain objects http://www.alinssite.info/2010/12/03/i- ... r-objects/

You look like you're getting ready for combat in the ring. :D

I always liked burying my face under something and wedging myself between two hard surfaces. Now, I am more a sprawler.

It's good to see you back.

I sometimes like to smother my face too. Or wedge my head between two pillows and then put pressure on top (usually just with my arm, but sometimes I try to get the cat to sit on top of the upper pillow, feels great having the cat sit on your head, weight is perfect)

I have really hard time sleeping sometimes, and getting comfortable. Must be really really hard when you're physically restricted.

edgewaters. for me its the air restriction and the smell of the neoprene that helps me relax. it kind of forces me to relax. same for yu?

No, I need clean fresh cold air. I've thought sometimes about making some sort of hose that I could pass through the window, so I could get really good air but still have the smothering effect.

Do you ever get that? When you seem to need two different things to sleep, but you can't have them both at the same time?

Darn, its too bad we can't trade or something. Every time I lie down to sleep, I get really overheated and sweaty and I hate it.

Automatically? That's awesome! I have to lure mine, it doesn't work often. And sometimes I get the fat one instead, much too heavy.

Well it depends on my kitten's mood, of course. But sometimes I'm lucky. He seems to like it there. Mutual exchange of heat, I guess.

Aww I really like those pictures of you sleeping with Mel2 Alin. :D I have to have certain objects to sleep with too:

- A large plush doll (currently it's my Raggedy Ann)

- A soft square pillow I named Special Pillow 2.0

- A soft cylinder bean bag named Special Pillow 3.0

- My white noise machine on either the "Rain" or "Ocean" settings (usually I go with the Rain)

I used to need total darkness to fall asleep, but having worked graveyard shift for many years, I fall asleep in daytime, in a room with enough light to read by, and if the neighbors are quiet when I fall asleep, I rarely awaken when they do get noisy. Weed-Wackers and screaming kids excepted. I like a cool/cold room and me snuggly warm in a sleeping bag.

Sylkat :)

I have a teddy bear that I like to sleep with. I also have to have Sid on my night table, watching over me. :O)
